Summary

The behavior of the NEW command is determined by the STARTUP system variable.

• 1: NEW displays the Create New Drawing dialog box.
• 0: NEW displays the Select Template dialog box (a standard file selection dialog box).

If the FILEDIA system variable is set to 0 instead of 1, a Command prompt is displayed. If you set FILEDIA to 0, this prompt is displayed regardless of the Startup setting.
